Where can i get those nifty heroes characters?
I`m playing Prophecies, lvl 19 W/E, currently in Divinity Coast mission, but i havent yet encountered even an opportunity to get the hero character. Is this due to the version of GW, or i will be able to hire them later? If Prophecies doesnt offer heroes i can hire instead of those pesky henchmen, should i buy new chapter like Nightfall or Eye of the north and will i be able to transfer my existing character to that new chapter? Thanx!

Nightfall has Heroes. Yeh you add the access key to your existing account and can use that Proph character in NF (after doing a certain quest)

Do i start from the beginning, or can i continue with current missions? Does Eye of the North has heroes as well?

Only nf and GW:EN have heroes. You can play nf with your prophecies character. As for GW:EN you need to be lvl 20 to play it. NF has more heroes than GW:EN too.

After you buy NF/GWEN, you can add the NF/GWEN Account key to your Prophecies game. Then your character will be able to go from Prophecies to NF/GWEN after doing a quest or two (and in case of GWEN, reaching level 20). In both of them, you will get heroes. A couple of them right at the start, then as you go through the storyline.
Just make sure you add the NF/GWEN key to your existing account, not create another one. |

Look at it this way... heroes didn't exist until NF was released (so obviously, how could a game like Phophecies have content that didn't exist until that point?)

I'm confused what you mean about continuing with current missions... Your progress is not dependent on where your character is at a given time, missions you've already done remain done regardless of what you go off and do in the meantime. You can freely travel between continents once you have access to other campaigns and complete them in any order. |

You would have options...
If you purchase Nightfall you would do a mission from Lion's Arch which would take you to Kamadan. Once you walk out the portal you will get several hero characters. If you continue through the storyline with your existing character you will pick up other heroes along the way. You can use any heroes you acquire instead of henchies as you progress through either game. You also will have the option to start new characters in Nightfall and will be able to create two more character classes, the dervish and the paragon. You can unlock skills for your heroes either by creating their character class and playing the character or buying skills as you progress through the game. Or you can unlock skills with Balthazar faction, any skill you unlock can be given to a hero on your account. Unlocked skills can be used for your heroes or pvp characters, they still need to be purchased or acquired for pve characters. Eye of the North can be accessed through Lion's Arch as well and you will get 3 heroes right away with more obtained through missions as you progress through the expansion. It is level 20 character content but you are very close to that so it is also an option for you. Skills would be unlocked the same as in Nightfall however you will not have access to new character class options or get any additional character slots for your use. Heroes are customized by you, you will choose their secondary profession and can upgrade their weapons and their armor with runes and insignias. You also can change their skills with any skills unlocked on your account that go with the assigned character class and secondary profession. Hope this helps... |
